Cause and effects of natural resource misuse

The Environment is everything that surrounds an organism and it includes physical and biological components. It influences an organism's life in many ways.
Air, water, soil, minerals, coal, petroleum, animals and plants are referred to as natural resources.

Misuse of Natural Resources

It refers to excessive use, destructive use or achieving imbalance between resources either individually or in combination. They can also be direct or indirect.

And now I`m gonna talk about the causes and effects of the misuse of the petroleum:

The petroleum is a type of oil composed of rock minerals, making it different from other kinds of oils that come from plants and animals (such as vegetable oil, animal fat, or essential oils). It  is an organic compound, formed from the remains of microorganisms living millions of years ago. It `s one of the three main fossil fuels, along with coal and natural gas.

Causes of the misuse of the petroleum:

  • International trade and commitments.

  • Increased industrial requirement.

  • Demand for petroleum products continued to increase.

Effects of the misuse of the petroleum:

  • The hydrocarbon molecules that make up crude oil and petroleum products are highly toxic to many organisms.

  • Tanker spills on the sea produce that the birds and sea animals end dead or oiled, and contaminated marine ecosystems.

  •
Petroleum-fueled vehicles, engines, and industrial processes directly produce the vast majority of CO and NO x in the atmosphere.
